George Alex is a Sydney-based construction boss who was found guilty of defrauding tax charges. Between the years 2018 and 2020, he and his companions Pasquale Loccisano, Lindsay John Kirschberg, Gordon McAndrew, and Mark Ronald Bryers used shield companies to fraud ATO (Australian Taxation Office) of 10 million dollars. The jury heard 64 days of evidence and weeks’ worth of submissions before postponing the verdicts for a further 17 days. The offenders are expected to spend a long time in jail.
