The second season of the Wednesday series is filming now. Meanwhile, Netflix revealed the cast details of the characters who play major roles in the new episodes. Of course, Jenna Ortea is returning as the Wednesday Addam. Along with that, some previous characters like Steve Buscemi, Emma Myers, Hunter Doohan, Joy Sunday, Moosa Mostafa, Luyanda, and George Farmer were returning this season. Also, Fred Armisen and Jamie McShane in the guest roles. Percy Hynes White, who appeared as Xavier, is absent from the announcement due to various allegations being made against him on social media.
Apart from that, some new entries have been teased in the announcement video like Bille Piper, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, Beautiful Things, and Noah Taylor. Thandiwe Newton will appear in the guest star role. Besides, Netflix has announced some more guest stars, such as Christopher Lloyd, Joanna Lumley, Frances O’Connor, and many others.
As per the creators, this upcoming season shows the entire Addams family joining the Nevermore Academy. The production of this season was planned to be started in January 2023. However, it was delayed many times due to the writer’s strike and finally started in April 2024. According to the reports, it is more likely to be released in early 2025. The recent season 2 cast reveal video boosted the expectations for the binge-watchers of Wednesday.
