Thekku Vadakku is a Malayalam comedy-drama directed by Prem Shankar. S Hareesh, the writer of Lijo Jose’s Churuli and Jallikattu films, has penned this script, too inspired by his own short story Rathri Kaaval. Jailer fame Vinayakan and National Award winner Suraj Venjaramoodu played the lead roles, with Melvin Babu, Vineeth Vishwam, Shameer Khan, and Kottayam Ramesh doing supporting roles. Anjana Talkies and VARS Studios backed the project financially.

The film was released in theaters on October 4, 2024, (Friday), and received positive responses from the audience. But some people say there are a few lags in the plot. Despite that, the film is a success and really enjoyable to watch.

The makers released a short clip of Vinayakan and Suraj Venjaramoodu slapping each other up before the film’s title faded in. This confirms that the film will be a blast of intense comedy scenes.
