Sheila Jackson Lee was an American politician and congresswoman from the Democratic Party. She was also a lawyer and the representative of Texas’s 18th congressional district from 1995 till her death in July 2024. She was the co-dean of Texas’s congressional delegation. After her law school graduation in 1975, she was appointed as the municipal judge of Houston by Kathy Whitmire. Sheila was once diagnosed with breast cancer and was given a clean bill of health in 2012. Unfortunately, she revealed that she had pancreatic cancer on June 2, 2024, and was under treatment. Sadly, she passed away at the hospital in Houston on July 19, 2024.
