Kim Coco Iwamoto is an American politician and a member of the Democratic party. In 2018, she was one of the primary candidates for the position of Lieutenant Governor of Hawaii. She initially served as the commissioner of the Hawaii Civil Rights Commission and the Hawaii Board of Education. Kim made the headlines when she was poised to become the first transgender state legislator in Hawaiian history.
