Kauli Vaast is a professional surfer from French Polynesia, France. He is famous for winning the gold medal in the 2024 Paris Olympics. He first rode his surfboard with his father at the age of 4. When he was six years old, Vaast started surfing on his own. For the first time, he surfed in the Teahupo and won a local surfing competition which motivated him to participate in the Olympics.
