Karen Read is a finance professor from Mansfield, Massachusetts. She worked at Bentley College. As per reports, she was arrested in the case of second-degree murder in Boston police Officer John O’Keefe’s death case. Karen Read is a girlfriend of John O’Keefe at the time of his death in 2022. The Patriotledger article says Karen Read was angry at John O’Keefe for allegedly having an affair with another woman during his Aruba vacation. It is reported that on January 29, 2022, Karen Read and John O’Keefe were seen drunk at a Canton bar with friends; on the same day, Keefe was dead, and his body was found outside of a Canton home. The next day, Read was arrested on charges of manslaughter, drunk driving, and leaving the person with injuries and death. According to lawyers, Read hit O’Keefe with her SUV outside the home of Brian Albert, who was hosting an after-party.
Karen Read’s case ends in a mistrial with a ‘deeply divided’ jury.
