John Cassaday is an American comic book artist known for his critically acclaimed works, such as Planetary, Astonishing X-Men, Captain America, and Star Wars. Marvel Comics animated films extensively used his art. His work won him the Eagle and Eisner Awards, along with several other nominations. Unfortunately, John Cassaday passed away at the age of 52 on September 9, 2024.
The cause of his death is still unknown, his sister Robin shared this news on Facebook by revealing that he was admitted to ICU in a New York hospital early in September. John Cassady’s fans and comic book community have offered their condolences to his family and friends via social media.
