She began her acting career with the Kannada serial Avanu Matte Shravani alongside Darshan K Raju. Chaitra gained recognition for her performances in the Kayal and Yaaradi Nee Mohini TV serials. She made her film debut in 2019 with the Kannada flick Rugged, directed by Mahesh Gowda. Chaitra participated in Sun TV’s cooking show Top Cooku Dupe Cooku and ended up as the 2nd runner-up.
