Bob Menendez is a lawyer and politician who served as a US Senator in New Jersey. Governor Jon Corzine appointed him to the US Senate. He chaired the US Senate Committee on Foreign Relations from 2013 to 2015 and from 2021 to 2023. Bob has been very active in politics, and he was elected to the Union City School District’s Board of Education in 1974. He also served in different positions in politics. Bob Menendez made the headlines when he was found guilty of receiving bribes in the form of cast, gold, and luxury vehicles to protect three New Jersey-based businessmen.
He was also convicted of acting as a foreign agent for Egypt. It was proved that he met with Egyptian intelligence officials and assisted their country in accessing millions of dollars in US military aid funds. The federal agents also charged his wife Nadine, but her trial was delayed as she recovered from her surgery for breast cancer.
