Antonia Minnecola is an Italian American Kathak dancer and instructor. She is also the devoted student of the late legendary dancer, Sitara Devi. In 1978, Antonia got married to the renowned Indian tabla player Zakir Hussain, despite not having Zakir’s mother’s blessing. The couple later had two daughters. On December 15, 2024, her husband Zakir Hussain passed away at a private hospital in San Francisco, United States due to complications related to idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.
