K P K Jayakumar Dhanasingh is the president of the Tirunelveli East Congress Party district who actively participated in the 2024 election campaign. He was reported missing at Uvari police station on May 3 by his son, Jafrin. The next day, his half-burned body was found in his own backyard. After the autopsy, his body was cremated in the family graveyard. His death shook the political ground on a large scale, and the government has enforced 9 special forces in this regard.
