Karthik Sivakumar better known by his stage name Karthi, is an Indian actor and singer who predominantly works in the Tamil film industry. He began his career as an assistant director under the renowned filmmaker Mani Ratnam. Karthi made his acting debut in 2007 with Ameer’s Paruthiveeran movie. His career took off with the 2010 hit Aayirathil Oruvan, which marked a significant turning point.
Karthi starred in several award-winning films including Madras, Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru, Kaithi, and more. His performance in the 2024 Tamil film Meiyazhagan garnered widespread praise from critics. Karthi has also signed on for several upcoming projects, such as Sardar 2, Vaa Vaathiyaar, and Kaithi 2. Additionally, he is all set to make a cameo in the much-anticipated Tamil movie Kanguva, featuring his elder brother Suriya.
