Deepinder Goyal is the co-founder and CEO of India’s leading food delivery platform Zomato, established in 2018. Goyal started his career with a delivery startup Foodlet, but it didn’t succeed. In January 2006, he joined Bain and Company, a business management consulting firm in Gurgaon. During his time at Bain and Company Goyal realized a growing need for menu cards among his colleagues, which paved the path for Zomato. As of December 2024, Hurun India ranked Goyal as the second highest-valued self-made entrepreneur in Bharat, following Radhakrishnan Damani.
