Ritika Tirkey is a 27-year-old woman from the tribal community in Jharkhand. She is the assistant loco pilot of the newly launched Tatanagar-Patna Vande Bharat Express. Ritik began her railway journey in 2019 as a shunter at the Chakradharpur Division of the South Eastern Railway. After that, she was promoted to Senior Assistant Loco Pilot in the prestigious Vande Bharat Express. Ritika gained popularity by steering the Vande Bharat Express during the Prime Minister’s virtual inauguration on September 15, 2024. Meanwhile, she is the first tribal woman assistant loco pilot for Vande Bharat. Ritika was appreciated by several ministers and BJP leaders on social media platforms.

Before driving Vande Bharat, she also drove several goods and passenger trains.
She was transferred to Tatanagar station in the year 2021.
