Kara Welsh is a national title-winning gymnast and student at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Unfortunately, she was found dead at an apartment in the 100 block of W. Whitewater Street in Whitewater on August 30. Welsh was wounded by gunshots multiple times. Through the police investigation, a 23-year-old boy named Chad T Richards was determined as the prime suspect in her murder. According to the police reports, it was found that the altercation between the Welsh and the murderer might have led to her death by gunshot.
