Angela Carini is an Italian boxer who won a medal at the 2019 AIBA Women’s World Boxing Championship. She competed in the 2020 Summer Olympics in the Women’s Welterweight event and got eliminated in the 16th round. Angela made the headlines for quitting her match with Algeria’s biological male fighter Iman Khelif in the 2024 Paris Olympics. She left the ring just 46 seconds after the match began. In the interview, she said that the punches she took from Khelif were the hardest she had in her entire boxing career.
