Michael Palfrey is a swim coach for the Australian swim team in the 2024 Paris Olympics. He became the victim of online criticism after he wished for South Korean swimmer Kim Woo-min to win the Olympic gold in a live telecast. Eventhough he was sidelined, the head coach Rohan Taylor said that Palfrey would face the consequences after the games. The head coach also branded him as UnAustralian. He was terminated from the coach position for supporting South Korean athlete.
