Prabhu Deva is an Indian dance choreographer, actor, director, and producer who works in various Indian film industries including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi. Over three decades of his film career, he has become a dancing icon of India earning the title Indian Michael Jackson and mastering numerous dance styles. Beyond acting and dancing, he produced and directed films like Devi, Bogan, Rowdy Rathore, Vedi, and Engeyum Kaadhal. His performance with Shahid Kapoor on the IIFA Awards 2024 stage has become a huge sensation.

- Prabhu Deva’s passion for dance came from his father, Mugur Sundar. His brothers Raju Sundaram and Nagendra Prasad are also well-accomplished dancers.
- His debut on-screen appearance is in the Panivizhum Iravu song from the film Mouna Raagam and his debut dance choreography was in the 1989 film Vetri Vizha.
- After being a choreographer for several years he made his acting debut with the 1994 film Indhu following which he played the lead role in director Shankar’s Kadhalan movie.
- Prabhu Deva stepped into the directional venture 2005 Telugu film Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana.
- To honour his incredible dancing skills his name was associated with a dance reality TV show Ungalil Yaar Adutha Prabhu Deva, televised on Vijay TV and he has also served as a judge in various dance competitions across India.
- On June 11, 2023, Prabhu Deva and his second wife Himani welcomed a baby girl in Mumbai, and the news became a huge sensation.
- He shared a dance video on his X page (Twitter) of him and hundreds of dancer-breaking moves for the Oscars 2023 winning Naatu Naatu song from RRR.
