Jayapriya Vikraman is a famous Kuchipudi dancer in South India and founder of the Nagabharana Arts Foundation. She is the wife of ace director Vikraman who is known for his blockbuster movies like Suryavamsam, Unnidathil Ennai Koduthen, Vaanathaippola, and many more. Jayapriya was in the news after her husband revealed her health issues and requested the Government for help with Jayapriya’s medical expenses.

- In an interview, Jayapriya said that she was admitted to a hospital due to back pain. After taking several tests and scans, doctors found a swelling in her back and advised her to have an operation but she feared losing her career. Doctors assured them that it would be fine and she could return to her normal life within 15 days of her operation.
- However, after the operation, her lower back became dysfunctional due to medical errors and her interview became viral and got lots of attention.
- She learned Kuchipudi from Padmabushan Guru Dr. Vempati Chinna Satyam and performed over 1500 dance shows with her guru.
