Atharvaa Murali is an Indian actor and model who primarily works in the Tamil film industry. He is the son of the late actor Idhayam Murali. Atharvaa made his film debut with the 2010 romantic drama Baana Kaathadi alongside Samantha. He got his breakthrough by portraying Raasa in Bala’s 2013 period film Paradesi which won critical acclaim and earned a Filmfare Award for Best Actor in Tamil. Besides films, he also appeared in blockbuster web series like Navarasa and Mathagam.

In 2009, his father offered him to play the lead role in Badri Venkatesh’s film Baana Kaathadi.
He then earned positive reviews for his performance as a youngster suffering from delusion in the romantic thriller Muppozhudhum Un Karpanaigal (2012). His performance was well-received by the audience but the film failed at the box office.
Atharvaa is an avid dog lover.
